A woman asks Akechi to conduct an infidelity investigation on her husband; he comes home with the smell of different food every day. Ichigo, the owner of Akechi's go-to food truck, unwillingly gets involved in the investigation.

A young couple is found murdered at a hotel. Akechi wrongly assumes that the room service meal they ordered had been poisoned but police find an apple in the contents of their stomach which wasn't part of their hotel meal.

A man chokes on a piece of bread and dies at a French restaurant. While it is presumed an accidental death, Katono wonders why the victim spent so much money on the lunch.

Kiritani, a friend of Akechi, is absent from a reunion party which makes Akechi question his whereabouts. Receiving an email from Kiritani, Akechi becomes concerned and tries to contact Kiritani's wife.

Katono worries about his daughter, Koharu, and asks for Akechi's help. Checking on Koharu on behalf of Akechi, Ichigo finds out that Koharu is bullied at school.

Akechi's mother arranges a blind date for him and his brother. However, Maria shows up at the restaurant where the blind date is taking place and tries to kill the prospective wife.

An underground idol, Koko, is being stalked by a fan, and Akechi becomes her bodyguard. In the meantime, she receives a DM from Maria.

Akechi realizes in fear that what Koko gave Tabata was a deadly poisonous mushroom and rushes to the hospital. Not being able to find Tabata, Maria appears instead and tells Akechi that her next target is Ichigo.

Akechi barely saves Ichigo's life when Maria pushes her off a rooftop. Seeing this, Maria confirms Akechi's feelings for Ichigo and jumps to her death.
